The Benefits of Sports Massage
In addition to personal training, postural
correction and nutritional advice I also offer sports massage to all my
clients as a part of the service.
When I first became a personal trainer I was amazed by the number of new
clients who came to me suffering from aches, pains and injuries. The
majority of these people had just put up with these aches and pains and
viewed them as a part of getting older or a consequence of their daily
lives.
Over time, hard workouts, postural abnormalities and the physical
stresses of everyday life can lead to the development of scar tissue,
muscular knots and injuries.
Sports massage helps by breaking down these tissues and encouraging
muscle fibres to realign. In addition it can help to reduce your stress
levels and encourage your body to effectively remove waste products and
toxins.
